BitPay’s online bitcoin payment gateway has received a facelift. In order to make the “Pay with Bitcoin” experience better, BitPay has updated its design in such a way that the user doesn’t have to leave the merchant site at any time.
The new design change is in the form of a modal invoice which pops up when the buyer clicks on the bitcoin payment button. The BitPay invoice modal will include the information about the purchase along with the Bitcoin address and the QR Code for the merchant’s BitPay account.
The company, in its blog explains,
“When a customer goes to pay, the invoice modal drops down over the current order screen. This means that the customer never has to leave the merchant website or order flow. When the invoice is paid, they can move on to the next screen in the merchant’s order form”.
Once the buyer successfully executes the payment, he or she can close the modal and continue on the merchant’s site instead of being redirected to a different webpage where the user has to wait for it to either redirect or click a button to go back to the main site after making payments.
As the adoption of digital currency increases, the new feature will play an important role in terms of usability and experience.
