Hoskinson’s Recognition
Hoskinson, along with seven other Ethereum co-founders, received the award from the Canton and City of Zug.
This happened at the ETH10X event in Zug, Switzerland on October 2.
ETH10X was organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ethereum Foundation.
Hoskinson was acknowledged for his role in establishing Crypto Valley, a central hub for blockchain innovation worldwide.
In his acceptance speech, Hoskinson expressed his pride in being part of Crypto Valley’s inception.
Despite no longer being part of the Ethereum Foundation, he reiterated his commitment to the blockchain industry.
In 2015, Hoskinson partnered with Jeremy Wood to establish Input Output.
This company is now one of the leading global blockchain infrastructure research and engineering firms.
Their mission is to pioneer decentralization, with projects like Cardano and Midnight at the forefront.
Cardano, a third-generation blockchain platform that hosts the ADA cryptocurrency, is one of Input Output’s most significant projects.
Currently, the company is preparing for its fourth-generation blockchain platform, Midnight.
According to Input Output, Midnight will enable users to put both confidential and public information on-chain.
This feature will facilitate selective disclosure and address crucial issues like privacy, identity, and interoperability.
Besides Cardano and Midnight, Input Output recently introduced the Chang hard fork on September 1.
This project marked the age of Voltaire for Cardano by implementing CIP-1694.
The ETH10X event served as a platform for key figures in the blockchain industry to celebrate a decade of Ethereum and Crypto Valley’s growth.
