    Ethereum Foundation’s Recent Transactions

    The sale resulted in 334,315.7 DAI tokens added to the foundation’s holdings.

    The previous ETH sale was on November 8, following the release of the annual report.

    In October, the foundation offloaded 100 ETH four times.

    An additional transaction was made from a foundation-linked wallet, transferring 1,250 ETH to Bitstamp on October 8.

    The 2024 report of the Ethereum Foundation disclosed that it held $970.2 million in asset reserves as of October 31.

    Of these reserves, $788.7 million were in crypto, with 99.45% of the crypto holdings being in ETH.

    This represents 0.26% of the total ETH supply.

    According to SpotOnChain, the foundation currently holds 272,330 ETH and 168,458 DAI tokens.

    On September 9, the foundation had a total of 8.66 million DAI after selling 450 ETH for 1.029 million DAI.

    The foundation’s co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, has stated that the foundation sells ETH periodically to fund public projects and maintain reserves.

    Since 2024, the foundation has sold 4,266 ETH, worth $11.83 million at current prices.

    In a separate transaction on October 7, Buterin sold 10 billion MOODENG tokens and donated the proceeds to his biotech fund, Kanro.

    He advocated for using meme coins to contribute positively to charitable causes.

    Despite accusations of selling ETH for profit, Buterin has maintained that the sales support ecosystem development and philanthropy.
