Semler Scientific, a healthcare technology firm, has increased its Bitcoin (BTC) treasury by purchasing an additional 297 BTC. The purchase, which took place between Nov. 18 and Nov. 22, cost the company $29.1 million, equating to an average price of $97,995 per BTC. The details of this transaction were released in a press release on Nov. 25.
Following this latest acquisition, Semler Scientific’s total cryptocurrency holdings have reached 1,570 BTC. These were obtained at an overall cost of $117.8 million, with an average acquisition price of $75,039 per BTC.
Bitcoin Yield Performance
The company, which implemented a Bitcoin treasury strategy earlier in the year, announced a BTC yield of 58.4% since July 1. From Oct. 1 to Nov. 22, the company achieved a 37.1% BTC yield. Semler Scientific uses a metric known as BTC Yield to monitor the performance of its Bitcoin strategy. This metric calculates the variations in the ratio of the company’s Bitcoin holdings to its diluted shares outstanding.
Capital Market Initiatives Update
Eric Semler, the chairman of Semler Scientific, expressed his satisfaction with the company’s successful utilization of Bitcoin as a strategic asset. He stated that the team was delighted with the 58.4% BTC Yield and the significant progress made in accumulating Bitcoin on the company’s balance sheet in a manner that significantly benefits its stakeholders.
The company also revealed updates to its capital market initiatives. Semler Scientific, which is based in Santa Clara, doubled the size of its at-the-market equity offering, bringing the total ATM offering to $100 million. As of Nov. 22, the company had raised $50 million in gross proceeds under this program.
