Global Cryptocurrency Market Capitalization
The overall cryptocurrency market capitalization has slightly decreased, moving from $3.67 trillion to $3.63 trillion, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
CryptoSlam’s latest data reveals a 16.36% surge in the NFT market, with total sales volume hitting $224.5 million. However, the number of unique buyers has seen a significant drop of 73.97%, down to 180,641.
Activity on the Ethereum and Bitcoin Networks
The Ethereum blockchain has seen a 21.33% increase in sales, amounting to $118.9 million, and a surge in wash trading by 117.35% to $43.8 million.
Meanwhile, the NFT ecosystem of Bitcoin has seen sales reach $51.8 million, a 14.79% increase. The network’s wash trading has shown a moderate 11.30% increase, indicating relatively cleaner trading activity compared to Ethereum.
Solana (SOL) has further solidified its position with $21.4 million in sales, a growth of 32.12%. Mythos Chain (MYTH) and ImmutableX (IMX) complete the top five, with sales of $10.9 million and $8.5 million, respectively.
Changes in Collection Rankings
The collection rankings have seen significant changes. Pudgy Penguins, a collection of 8,888 unique penguin avatars, has maintained its first position with a sales volume of $30 million, marking a 51.53% increase from the previous period.
Pudgy Penguins has expanded beyond just digital art and is now exploring various licensing opportunities, including physical merchandise and toys inspired by the NFT characters.
BRC-20 NFTs have maintained a strong performance with $15.5 million in sales, showing a 54.63% increase. A notable newcomer, LilPudgys, has shown a 1,021.54% surge in sales, reaching $13.5 million.
Azuki and Guild of Guardians Heroes round out the top five, with Azuki showing particular strength with a 179.46% increase in sales.
Several significant individual sales have taken place this week, including SuperRare #37380 selling for $425,103 (108.3 WETH), Autoglyphs #319 selling for $394,317 (100 WETH), and BOOGLE #HtZnzPMtm2LvtZUwuft selling for $261,004 (1,235.02 SOL). Other notable sales include CryptoPunks #735 selling for $254,665 (68 ETH) and Autoglyphs #172 selling for $224,820 (224,820 USDC).
